In my
previous post I mentioned about drawing map using inkscape. For those interested in drawing map using inkscape you can get a guide at Wikitravel:How to draw a map. This guide is not for Inkscape only, but it is also for other vector-based drawing tool. You can even download map template in svg format. It is an easy 'palette' of tools for creating Wikitravel-style maps. The templates include a basic map layout and numbers of layers. If you want to practice your map making skills, you can download an example map from there.
