Today I visited and read one of my friend's blog Walizdiary, the post title is Le tour de Langkawi. I like the photo of Pulau Dayang Bunting . With permission, I post again the photo here and try to put some light effects on it. Perhaps I should do this using gimp but I want to try it using Inkscape.
For non malay readers, Pulau Dayang Bunting may be translated to Island of the pregnant maiden.

A friend came to me and ask, "can you draw a koala? climbing tree.. and make it simple so it's easier for me to follow.
Using inkscape, I drew a simple Koala cartoon, climbing a tree and show it to him.
He looked at it and said, "Can you draw simple than this ?
Smiling to my self, I started to draw again and "This is the simplest I can think of right now."
Looking at it, both of us laughed. Yes, cartoon can make people happy
Many bloggers out there are posting about simpsonize me, an online tools that turn your photo to simpson like character, he he , I also tried it, it's fun.
And then...
Hey, why not I try simpsonize me using my favourite tool, Inkscape. Here it is simpsonize me by me.
After that , Lat came to my mind , yes Datuk Lat ( Mohd Nor Khalid ) Malaysia's all time favourite cartoonist. With Lat unique style cartoon , I experimenting to what I call " Latized" myself :)

Drawing cartoons with Inkscape is my favourite hobby. I draw cartoons to entertain my family, they enjoy watching it and watching Im doing it. When I start my pc, launch Inkscape and draw cartoon my youngest daughter will always by my side and of course with a lot of question. I've made a few shorts animation for family entertainment also, perhaps next time I'll post one.
